This Rosemary Balsamic Whipped Feta Dip recipe features tangy feta cheese, rosemary, and a balsamic glaze that is the perfect appetizer dip for the holidays or anytime!
I love all kinds of cheeses, and feta is definitely one of my favorites. The tanginess alone is a winner in my book!
I remember the first time I tried feta sauce at a friend’s house when I was a kid, and I didn’t like it at all. Thank goodness I didn’t let that experience keep me from trying it again years later, or this recipe wouldn’t exist.
Now I can’t do without a block or two of feta cheese in the fridge at any given time, even if it’s just for snacking.

Ingredients for Rosemary Whipped Feta Cheese Recipe
Feta cheese: I used a softer variety for a smoother texture, but any feta will do in this recipe. You may just end up with a chunkier version, but the taste will be exactly the same.
Cream cheese: Any plain or herbed cream cheese are good options to use in this whipped feta dip recipe.
Sour cream: I find like the sour cream adds a tangy richness to the feta sauce.
Balsamic glaze (or reduction): If you don’t have balsamic glaze on hand, replace it with balsamic vinegar, or any vinegar of your choice. You may need to heat it with the honey to form a glaze, and then add it to the whipped feta once it’s cooled.
Honey: For a natural sweetness that complements the tangy feta, cream cheese, and sour cream so well. I don’t recommend skipping or swapping it out for other types of sugar.
Fresh rosemary: I don’t mind having fine bits of fresh rosemary in my whipped feta, but you can soak rosemary in olive oil for as long as you can manage, and then remove it before using both ingredients in the feta dip.
Garlic: Fresh garlic is best in this recipe, because I feel like the all the dairy needs a good dose of bold flavoring.
Olive oil: For a silky, rich, smooth texture, and a hint of earthiness.
Salt: To taste. You may want to taste test the sauce before adding any salt, because feta can be quite salty.
Black pepper: A pinch of coarse black pepper is always a great addition to any dishes make with feta, so I don’t skip it.
How to make Whipped Feta With Rosemary
Step 1: Blend The Ingredients
In a blender, combine the crumbled feta cheese, sour cream, balsamic vinegar, honey, rosemary, and minced garlic.
Blend until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
Drizzle in the olive oil, stirring continuously, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Add salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 2: Season And Serve
Transfer the feta dip to a serving bowl, and drizzle a little extra balsamic glaze and olive oil over the top, and serve.
Storing Rosemary Feta Dip
Seal the rosemary whipped feta in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
Before serving again, give the dip a stir to make sure that all the ingredients are well combined.
The texture of the dip may change slightly after being refrigerated, but it will taste just as good.
I don’t recommend freezing this feta sauce, as the texture and flavor may become weird and unappetizing once thawed.
