- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the milk and stir to combine.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and the mixture is smooth.
Add the cooked macaroni to the pot and stir until the macaroni is coated with the cheese sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the mac and cheese immediately.
