Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2-3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the garlic and butter mixture. Stir continuously until a smooth paste forms. Cook for about 2-3 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
  • Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Continue to whisk until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes. It should coat the back of a spoon.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Keep stirring until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat, and stir in the chopped fresh parsley.
