- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2-3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Sprinkle the flour over the garlic and butter mixture. Stir continuously until a smooth paste forms. Cook for about 2-3 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Continue to whisk until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes. It should coat the back of a spoon.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Keep stirring until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
Remove the saucepan from the heat, and stir in the chopped fresh parsley.
