Toasted Garlic Bread Baguette (Garlic Bruschetta Recipe)

This Garlic Bread Toast is made with a French baguette, freshly chopped garlic cloves, and melted butter. Sprinkle with finely chopped chives, and you’re done.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette 10-12 ounces loaf
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves peeled and chopped
  • 4-5 Tbsp butter
  • Chives finely chopped (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a skillet over a low heat setting.
  • Chop the fresh garlic finely and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave.
  • Combine the garlic with half of the melted butter, and stir well.
  • Set the other half of the melted butter aside.
  • Cut the bread into ½ inch slices.
  • Brush the top of the slices with the plain melted.
  • Lay each slice in the skillet, buttered side down.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter.
  • Fry 2-3 minutes, or until golden and slightly crispy.
  • Flip the slices and fry the other side until toasted.
  • Turn the slices over again, and brush the tops with the garlic butter mixture.
  • Fry for 30 seconds, taking care not to burn the garlic.
  • Flip the slices, and brush with the garlic butter.
  • Fry for 30 seconds, remove from the pan, and serve.
