Ingredients

  • 1 8-10 oz. sirloin filet mignon, or ribeye steak
  • Olive oil for grilling
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Season the steak with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Preheat a grill or grill pan over high heat. Brush the steak with olive oil and grill to desired doneness.
  • Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the heavy cream, gorgonzola cheese, parmesan cheese, black pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
  • Slice the steak against the grain and place it on a plate. Spoon the gorgonzola sauce over the top of the steak.
