Easy Salami Egg And Cheese Sandwich

This Cheesy Salami and Egg Breakfast Sandwich features smoky salami slices, fried egg, and melted cheese, seasoned with black pepper, a pinch of salt, on regular sandwich loaf slices, fried until crispy - so satisfying!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1-2 Tbsp butter
  • 4 slices salami or 8 small slices
  • 1 egg
  • ¼-½ cup cheese grated
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Slice the salami if necessary, add butter to a non-stick pan or skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Add the salami and fry on both sides until lightly browned.
  • Remove from the pan, and set aside.
  • Grate, shred or slice the cheese, and set aside.
  • Add more butter to the pan and fry the egg to your preference. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Add more butter to the same pan, and once melted, lay out 2 slices of bread in the pan, swirling them around to absorb as much of the butter as possible.
  • Load 1 of the bread slices with the grated cheese, cooked salami slices, fried egg, and season with salt and black pepper if needed.
  • Allow the bread to fry until the cheese starts to melt.
  • Close the sandwich with the second slice of fried bread, and press down firmly to seal the sandwich.
  • Flip the sandwich and fry for another minute or two, or until dark golden brown.
  • Remove from the pan and serve hot.
