Ingredients

  • 1 9- inch pie crust
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk dairy-free, if preferred
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables such as onions, spinach, mushrooms, or tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled spicy sausage optional
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese dairy-free, if preferred
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs such as parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim the edges as needed.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
  • Stir in the chopped vegetables, deli meats (if using), and shredded cheese.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center of the quiche is set and the crust is golden brown.
  • Let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
