Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Use a cookie scoop or spoon to portion the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
