Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the sugar until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the flour mixture to the chocolate mixture and stir until just combined.
Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the surface with a spatula.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares and serving.
